Morné Theunissen is a South African based filmmaker and writer with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. His film work spans feature films, documentaries, and animated productions, seen by hundreds of millions of viewers in multiple languages worldwide, collaborating with esteemed directors and talented artists on projects that explore themes of faith, transformation, and redemption.

His work has taken him across five continents and more than 20 nations, capturing inspiring stories of ordinary people living extraordinary lives of faith. Whether working on biographical documentaries, faith-based features, or branded content, Morné approaches each project with a commitment to authentic storytelling that inspires and challenges audiences.

Beyond filmmaking, Morné is a passionate storyteller through the written word, having co-authored inspirational non-fiction and fiction works.

Before entering the film industry, Morné served as a missionary with Youth With a Mission (YWAM), focusing on cultural redemption and communication. YWAM's mission statement—"To know God, and to make Him known"—remains the driving force behind every project he undertakes. Through film, documentary, and literature, his goal is to create work that points audiences toward something greater than themselves.
